(NSI News Source Info) WASHINGTON - January 19, 2011: U.S. Department of Defense, Office of the Assistant Secretary of Defense (Public Affairs) Contracts issued January 19, 2011 are undermentioned;

CAE USA, Inc., Tampa, Fla., is being awarded a $43,543,031 firm-fixed-price contract to design, fabricate, install and test one MH-60R Tactical Operational Flight Trainer and one MH-60R/S Tactical Operational Flight Trainer. Work will be performed in Tampa, Fla. (42 percent); Lexington Park, Md. (35 percent); Salt Lake City, Utah (9 percent); Hauppauge, N.Y. (5 percent); San Francisco, Calif. (4 percent); Montreal, Canada (2 percent); Huntsville, Ala. (2 percent); and Leesburg, Va. (1 percent), and work is expected to be completed in June 2014. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was not competitively procured pursuant to Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation 6.302-1. The Naval Air Warfare Center, Training Systems Division, Orlando, Fla., is the contracting activity. (N61340-11-C-0006)

BAE Systems Norfolk Ship Repair, Norfolk, Va., is being awarded a $17,330,868 modification to previously awarded contract (N00024-05-C-4403) for the USS Wasp (LHD 1) fiscal 2011 Phased Maintenance Availability (PMA). A PMA includes the execution of depot-level maintenance, alterations, and modifications that will update, improve, and extend the ship's military and technical capabilities. Work will be performed in Norfolk, Va., and is expected to be completed by April 2011. Contract funds in the amount of $17,320,921 will expire at the end of the current fiscal year.
