(NSI News Source Info) TORONTO, Canada - February 13, 2012: U.S. Department of Defense, Office of the Assistant Secretary of Defense (Public Affairs) Contracts issued  February  13, 2012 are undermentioned;

CONTRACTS
ARMY
            GAP Solutions, Inc., Reston, Va. (W9124J-12-D-0006), and Advancia Corp., Oklahoma City, Okla. (W9124J-12-D-04), were awarded a $983,000,000 indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity multiple-award-task-order contract between seven contractors.  The award will provide for the support base services at various Army installations.  Work location will be determined with each task order, with an estimated completion date of Dec. 31, 2016.  The bid was solicited through the Internet, with 31 bids received.  The Mission and Installation Contracting Office, Fort Sam Houston, Texas, is the contracting activity.

            The Boeing Co., Ridley Park, Pa., was awarded a $676,000,000 firm-fixed-price contract.  The award will provide for the modification of an existing contract to procure 32 CH-47F new build cargo helicopters.  Work will be performed in Ridley Park, Pa., with an estimated completion date of Dec. 31, 2015.  One bid was solicited, with one bid received.  The U.S. Army Contracting Command, Redstone Arsenal, Ala., is the contracting activity (W58RGZ-08-C-0098).

            Mission Essential Personnel, Columbus, Ohio, was awarded a $330,000,000 cost-plus-award-fee contract.  The award will provide for the modification of an existing contract for linguist and interpretation services in support of operations in Afghanistan.  Work will be performed in Columbus, Ohio, and Afghanistan, with an estimated completion date of Sept. 6, 2012.  The bid was solicited through the Internet, with six bids received.  The U.S. Army Intelligence and Security Command, Fort Belvoir, Va., is the contracting activity (W911W4-07-D-0010).
