DTN News - LONDON OLYMPICS 2012: Men's Field Hockey - India Go Down Against New Zealand

(NSI News Source Info) TORONTO, Canada - August 2, 2012: India went down 1-3 to a motivated New Zealand side in their second group match at the London Olympics 2012. India have now lost both their matches - the first one they went down to the Netherlands 2-3. It is an uphill battle now for the Men in Blue to make it count, if they have to.

India started off in a blistering fashion scoring a goal in the second minute. It was Sandeep Singh in typical fashion who scored a great one through penalty corner. After that it all went downhill for India.

SV Sunil (L) of India attempts to dribble past Bradley Shaw of New Zealand during the men's field hockey preliminary round match between India and New Zealand at Riverbank Arena in London on August 1, 2012 during the London 2012 Olympic Games. New Zealand won the match 3-1.
