Croatian soldiers listened to a briefing during a joint military exercise with the United States Minnesota National Guard in the eastern Croatian village of Gasinci. Croatia will send its 13th contingent of soldiers to Afghanistan in March, under the NATO-led coalition forces. NATO's secretary general, Jaap de Hoop Scheffer, expressed concern last week that Slovenia might block Croatia's entry into the military alliance at NATO's summit in April.
