BHGSG News ~ Toronto, Canada August 23, 2014: We were invited by a dear friend for a delightful gala evening celebration. The host has guests from all corner of the planet for the occasion, as the evening was progressing with Punjabi songs being sung by near and  dear as well guests, a family member flew in from New York. 

Also the renowned Bollywood movie producer / director Meera Nayyar short tempo back landed from Africa for the occasion. Seen in the photo from left are Nalini Malhotra, Meera Nayyar & Carina Seth. 

There was gourmet Indian food with tasty mutton curry along with enticing kulfi falooda and the party went on till early day break with dance and music.

(NSI News Source Info) TORONTO, Canada - August 22, 2014: (KIEV) — Ukraine's military on Thursday said its forces in the east of the country had captured two Russian armored vehicles with documents linking them to an elite army paratrooper unit.

"Ukrainian soldiers captured two armored vehicles of Russia's Pskov Airbourne division in a battle near Lugansk," said security spokesman Andriy Lysenko at a briefing.

"One of the vehicles had a full set of documents, from driver's licenses to military documents," he said, adding that the vehicles had been abandoned by their drivers.

(NSI News Source Info) TORONTO, Canada - August 19, 2014: (WASHINGTON) The U.S. military used fighters, bombers, attack, and unmanned aircraft to conduct 35 strikes that eliminated ISIL positions in and around the Mosul Dam complex, Pentagon Press Secretary Navy Rear Adm. John Kirby said in a statement released yesterday.

Kirby’s statement reads as follows:
Over the past 72 hours, at the request of the Iraqi government, the U.S. military used fighters, bombers, attack, and unmanned aircraft to conduct 35 strikes that eliminated ISIL positions in and around the Mosul Dam complex. In all, we destroyed over 90 targets including a range of vehicles, equipment, and fighting positions. 

Iraqi forces have cleared the dam and are working to further expand their area of control. Secretary Hagel remains extraordinarily proud of the men and women serving on land and sea who conducted these operations. 

He knows they stand ready to continue such missions as needed. Secretary Hagel also commends the way in which Iraqi forces worked together in this operation. It reflects the growing determination of Iraqis to fight back against ISIL.

Fiscal 2014 other procurement (Army) funds in the amount of $30,351,927 were obligated at the time of the award. Estimated completion date is Aug. 31, 2017.
