Anne Hathaway Acceptance Speech - Best Supporting Actress Winner

BHGSG News - February 26, 2013: At Sunday's 85th annual Academy Awards, Anne Hathaway took home the Oscar for Best Supporting Actress for her role in "Les Miserables."

While accepting the award, Hathaway thanked her husband and fellow "Les Mis" cast members, but not before exclaiming, "It came true!" ("It" being her dream of winning; also a play on the song she sings in "Les Miserables," "I Dreamed A Dream.")

Oscars Winners 2013: Jennifer Lawrence Is Just Hitting Her Stride

Oscars Winners 2013: Jennifer Lawrence Is Just Hitting Her Stride

BHGSG News - February 25, 2013: The lead actress winner may have stumbled on her way to the stage but not in her performance.

It's hard to believe that it was only two years ago that Jennifer Lawrence, at 20, was in the running for her first Oscar. As Ree in "Winter's Bone," Lawrence cut a swath through the bloody Ozark mountains that no one will soon forget. The film, and her Oscar nomination, was an extraordinary coming-out party.

Just as hard to believe that in such a short time — and seven films later — Lawrence is back for another round. This time with the win, taking home an Oscar for her off-kilter and impossibly energetic young widow in "Silver Linings Playbook." To breathe life into Tiffany — feisty, funny and fractured — Lawrence cut a different kind of swath. And yet another as Katniss the invincible in "The Hunger Games," though the Oscar doesn't officially credit that, or "X-Men," "Like Crazy" or the rest of her good work.

Academy Awards Red Carpet - Halle Berry In Versace

BHGSG News - February 25, 2013: Presenting at the Oscars last night, she did not disappoint: In total Bond girl fashion, Halle wore a glittering custom Versace gown—with major va-va-voom neckline. Pow!

Last month, the star rocked the Golden Globes arrivals in a sizzling, skin-baring one-shoulder gown by Atelier Versace. Showing the flipside of her taste, she looked every inch the elegant screen siren in black satin Vivienne Westwood, nailing the NAACP Image Awards arrivals carpet. And presenting at the 2011 Oscars, she looked stunning in a nude and crystal-encrusted Marchesa corset gown.

Brandi Glanville Dress - Reality Star Stuns In Cleavage Baring Oscar Gown

Brandi Glanville Dress - Reality Star Stuns In Cleavage Baring Oscar Gown

BHGSG News - February 25, 2013: Brandi Glanville walked her first Oscar red carpet in a cleavage baring gown. The “Real Housewives” star stunned many, as her dress left little to the imagination, Us Weekly reported on Feb. 24.

According to the report, Glanville was one of the first stars to hit the Academy Awards red carpet, and she didn’t waste any time posing for photos in her dress.

Brandi Glanville’s dress was a mermaid style, flesh colored gown, which was very tight fitting at the top, and extremely low cut. Brandi reportedly designed the entire gown herself.

Glanville has been in the headlines as of late for her feuds with ex-husband, Eddie Cibrian’s wife, LeAnn Rimes. Brandi also wore a very revealing dress that she also designed to a recent signing of her book, “Drinking and Tweeting.”

What are your thoughts on Brandi Glanville’s dress? Do you think the cleavage baring gown was too much for the Oscars?

Michele Obama Announces The Best Picture Winner

BHGSG News - February 25, 2013: Michelle Obama made a surprise appearance at the Oscars, opening the envelope that contained the name of the Best Picture winner, “Argo.”

Appearing via streaming video from the White House, Mrs. Obama said all of the nominees demonstrated that “we can overcome any obstacle.”

She said that message is “especially important for our young people” and thanked Hollywood for encouraging children “to open their imaginations.”

The first lady was introduced by Jack Nicholson, who noted that the Best Picture trophy is usually announced solo.

Mrs. Obama wore a silver, art deco-inspired gown by Indian-born American fashion designer Naeem Khan. It was the same dress she wore for the Obamas’ dinner with the nation’s governors at the White House Sunday night.
