(NSI News Source Info) TORONTO, Canada - May 30, 2014: MISAWA AIR BASE, Japan – The U.S. Air Force has deployed two of its most advanced long-distance surveillance drones to a base in northern Japan over the past week, enhancing its ability to monitor nuclear activities in North Korea and Chinese naval operations.

 

The deployment of the two unarmed Global Hawk drones to Japan, a key U.S. ally, is intended to demonstrate Washington’s commitment to security in Asia as part of its rebalancing of forces to the Pacific. But it will likely rankle with China and North Korea, which have been working to improve their own unmanned aircraft fleets.

Lt. Gen. Sam Angelella, commander of U.S. Forces Japan, said Friday the drones will remain here until October, when the typhoon season on the drones’ home base on the Pacific island of Guam is over. Similar rotations from Guam to Misawa are expected in the future, though Angelella said no firm plans have been made. He refused to comment on the specific missions the drones will carry out but noted that the Global Hawk’s “capabilities are well known.”

Pro-Russian separatists shot down a Ukrainian army helicopter on Thursday, killing 14 soldiers including a general, as government forces pressed ahead with an offensive to crush rebellions in the east swiftly following the election of a new president.

After weeks of accusations from Kiev of Russian involvement in the uprising, a rebel leader in the eastern city of Donetsk acknowledged that some of his fighters who died in the government offensive had been "volunteers" from Russia, saying their bodies were being returned home across the border.

The helicopter had just taken off after transporting soldiers to a Ukrainian base.

The Nigerian marriage rites are very important to the Nigerian peoples. The marriage rites are followed strictly and are very traditional. Marriage is the beginning of new life and when two people become one.

In Nigerian Traditional Religion, marriage is a cherished fecundity and is intended for procreation. Marriage involves not only interpersonal relations but also intercommunity relations. The survival of kinship in the social structure depends on marriage; marriage always establishes very strong bonds between the individuals belonging to different families and clans, especially when children are born. 

When a community seeks out a wife or a son-in-law, they look for one that lives up to their expectations. A person with good moral qualities, industrious in physical work, respectful towards their elders and a good reputation. Physical attractiveness doesn't matter as much as the community's expectations. Fertility is the central requirement in marriage. There would be less of a chance of proposal if a woman or a woman in her family were suspected of being barren. Other things that might slow down the wedding process includes witchcraft, impotence, sterility, bad reputation etc. The purpose of marriage is the social reproduction of the kinship group. 

The entire community, including living and deceased, are involved in the marriage process. There are certain rituals and taboos that must be observed in regard to marriage. Respect of in-laws and the observance of distance between in-laws, just to name a few. Prayers and sacrifices are offered to the ancestors on behalf of the groom and the bride. Fertility and healthy deliveries are prayed for. A marriage ceremony takes place over a certain period of time. Marriage in Nigerian Traditional Religions isn't simply saying a few words. Marriage is a step by step process taken on by the entire community. Several ceremonies and rituals are preformed over time and at different locations.

Communist Party of India (CPI) leader Gurudas Dasgupta on Friday claimed that Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi's reported preference to sit in the opposition rather than having a deal with the Third Front to form a government to prevent the BJP from doing so, is a clear indication that he has already accepted defeat in the 2014 general elections.

"It seems Rahul Gandhi has taken for granted that they are going to be defeated in these elections. It is out of a sense of defeatism and frustration that he might have said it. He is quite entitled to say what he has said. Whether Third Front will seek support from the Congress or vice-versa, is a remote question which is not to be discussed at the moment. The point is if Congress sits in the opposition is welcome, but it only speaks that how bitterly the Congress has alienated the masses and the sense of defeat has already creeped within the party," Dasgupta said.

(NSI News Source Info) TORONTO, Canada - April 30, 2014: Armed pro-Russia groups remain in control of seized buildings in eastern Ukraine. The US says Russian military aircraft have entered Ukrainian airspace on several occasions, amid rising tension in the east of the country.

A Pentagon spokesman called on Russia to "de-escalate the situation".

The statement came as the G7 group of industrialised countries agreed on Saturday to "swiftly" impose fresh sanctions on Russia over Ukraine.

Meanwhile, talks are under way to secure the release of international observers seized by separatists.

The batsman is India's heartthrob at the moment on and off the field.

But Virat loses his shine while sharing the frame with actress Priyanka Chopra.

The "Exotic" lady is a style diva and stands out even in the most simplest of outfits.

The former Miss World is seen wearing a crop top over a full-length deep plum-coloured skirt with a long slit, flaunting her long legs.

Priyanka pulled back her hair in a ponytail; lips complimenting her plum skirt and she finishes the job with minimal accessories. The actress puts on heels that can kill (if her looks don't do the job).

In the clash of strong personalities Priyanka stands out in the cover shoot.

Lack of chemistry between the two is clearly visible; maybe shooting separately didn't help the cause.

Earlier, Virat had shot a TV ad with his alleged girlfriend Anushka Sharma for a hair product. Sparks flew in the set and the result of the fireworks is known to all.

Reports of a raging romance between Anushka and Virat often make it to the gossip columns.

Looking at the Hello! cover, Anushka will be more than happy for the cold chemistry.
