(NSI News Source Info) - July 17, 2010: India has introduced for the first time the Marine version of the LCA (Light Combat Aircraft).
This new device will complement the fleet of MiG-29 K Marine version that will equip future buildings Vikrant class (ICC Aircraft Carrier) currently under construction in India.The program of Light Combat Aircraft LCA TEJAS named (“Glorious” in Sanskrit language) is an Indian national program launched in 1982 with the development lasted 26 years. The first aircraft for the Indian Air Force began to arrive. It is the smallest multi-role combat aircraft in the world. This program is under the responsibility of the Indian manufacturer HAL (Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd).
