The award will provide for design-build and construction projects in the U.S. Central Command’s area of responsibility. Bids were solicited through the Federal Business Opportunities website with 43 bids received. The estimated completion date is June 30, 2016. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Middle East District, Winchester, Va., is the contracting activity.
Oshkosh Corp., Oshkosh, Wis., was awarded on June 16 a $226,277,100 firm-fixed-price contract. The award will provide for the purchase of 5,131 underbody improvement kits for the Mine Resistant Ambush Protected All Terrain Vehicle in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. Work will be performed in Oshkosh, Wis., with an estimated completion date of June 30, 2012. One bid was solicited with one bid receive. U.S. Army Contracting Command, Warren, Wis., is the contracting activity (W56HZH-09-D-0111).
Raytheon Co., Tucson, Ariz., was awarded on June 16 a $36,087,425 cost-plus-incentive-fee contract. The award will provide for M982 Excalibur 155mm precision engagement projectiles. Work will be performed in Tucson, Ariz.; Healdsburg, Calif.; Niceville, Fla.; Cincinnati, Ohio; Cedar Rapids, Iowa; Baltimore, Md.; Joplin, Mo.; McKinney, Texas; and the United Kingdom, with an estimated completion date of March 15, 2012. The U.S. Army Contracting Command, Picatinny, N.J. is the contracting activity (W15QKN-08-C-0530).
