DTN News - DEFENSE NEWS: U.S. DoD Awarded Contract To BAE Systems For Procurement of M88A2 Heavy Equipment Recovery Combat Utility Lift Vehicles

(NSI News Source Info) TORONTO, Canada - April 24, 2013:  BAE Systems Land and Armaments L.P., York, Pa., was awarded a $28,744,284 modification (No. PZ0042), to a previously awarded firm-fixed-price contract (W56HZV-09-c-0408), to procure M88A2 heavy equipment recovery combat utility lift and evacuation system vehicles.  

Work will be performed in York, with an estimated completion date of March 31, 2014.  Fiscal 2012 procurement contract funds are being obligated on this award.  

The Army Contracting Command, Warren, Mich., is the contracting activity. 

The M88A2 HERCULES (heavy equipment recovery combat utility lift and evacuation system) is a self-supportive armoured recovery vehicle used in battlefield rescue and recovery missions.
